jupiter jazz has exploded with a new site, and some new announcements, including an update to the AtomKraft for Nuke to version 1.1 with some new features, huge performance increases and plenty of fixes (listed as the full version of AtomKraft using unlimited rendering threads).
In addition, jupiter jazz has also announced a free version of AtomKraft for Nuke, as a downloadable, fully features time-unlimited version that even allows for commercial use. The FreeBeer™ version (as jupiter jazz calls it) is limited only to 2 rendering threads.
And lastly, comes the exciting announcement of AtomKraft for After Effects which is currently in beta, and soon to be released for April 2012.
AtomKraft is an asset-based look development, lighting & rendering toolkit designed for compositors. AtomKraft is really a complete look develpment re-lighting & rendering solution that enables studios to alleviate the use of 3D packages for this part of the production pipeline. It empowers compositors to make changes to renders themselves instead of relying on a lighting TD. But what’s more — it even allows them to do the work of a lighting TD.
Under the Hood AtomKraft interfaces with DNA Research’s 3Delight high-end, RenderMan–compliant, offline rendering engine. The integrated version of 3Delight was specifically designed in conjunction with jupiter jazz and each AtomKraft license includes 3Delight, supporting unlimited cores/threads on a single host. This is a special AtomKraft version of 3Delight works solely inside Nuke.
