Creating a disintegration effect in Houdini using an animated noise map

The disintegrating effect actually consists of three parts which include the object, a series of forming spikes while the object is disintegrating, and a series of crystals that also form during the effect. This really shows off the benefits of having a procedural Node based system as a platform.
