By April 11, 2013No Comments

Alex White displays a clever and well crafted use for TrapCode MIR in After Effects, using it to create a stylish and realistic Kaleidoscope effect, mimicking the cardboard tube and mirrored meat-space Kaleidoscopes of old.

Alex uses MIR’s 3D capabilities to produce a low polygon animating effect, and uses TrapCode Shine to provide an other-worldy glow to the final animation. Check out the tutorial for Creating a Kaleidoscope Effect in After Effects Using TrapCode MIR and Shine here.
