After-Effects-ExtendScript-Training-part-5

A new addition to David Torno’s After Effects ExtendScript training reaps the fruits from previous episodes to create an overall larger script that will create multiple comps in After Effects of various sizes.

We’ll start to use the writeln() method as well to give us unobtrusive feedback and we’ll use a try catch statement to help us catch scripting syntax errors

David covers using Undo groups to package the code into a single undo an action, and also shows how to modify the script to create a color-specific solid, and place it into all the newly created comps, making the solid match each of the After Effects comp settings automatically.

Check out the tutorial for scripting comp and solid creation in After Effects here.
