How-to-get-Vray-AO-under-Glass

MintViz provides a quick little tip for getting Ambient Occlusion passes to work through transparent glass when using V-Ray, noting that when you are calculating Ambient Occlusion, transparency is ignored.

When calculating ambient occlusion, transparency is ignored completely. This means that anything positioned behind the transparent object is not visible within the ambient occlusion pass

Typically methods for generating Ambient Occlusion through transparent objects are to hide the transparent objects before rendering, here, MintViz shows how to set up the V-Ray dirt along with the VRayExtraTex render element to get ambient occlusions happening under glass.
