E-On Software, creators of the digital world-building software Vue, recently announced the launch of Plant Factory, an application dedicated to the modeling, animation and rendering of vegitation, and even more recently followed it up with announcing the Plant Factory PLE version.
The Personal Learning Edition of Plant Factory is a fully functional version of Plant Factory Producer that lets you save your work and never expires
Designed for artists and students who wish to learn Plant Factory and its workflows, the Plant Factory PLE is freely available, fully functional, has no expiration date, and on top of all that, allows you to save your work.
Shipping with only a fraction of the total content available with the commercial versions of Plant Factory, the PLE edition will allow you to save (for your own use), export plants to other applications (limiting the export by removing 1 out of every 5 polygons), and watermarks renders from within plant factory. Other than that, it is a complete version.
Note that the PLE version is explicitly for learning purposes only, and cannot be used for commercial work and the time-limited trials of the other products in the Plant Factory product line (Plant Factory Studio, Designer and Artist) are also availabe. The Plant Factory Trial Versions are designed to offer you a way to evaluate each specific version before making any purchasing decisions.
