After Effects | Projecting a Custom Shatter Map to Create Crumbling Pavement

Creating a bit of a VFX shot where the pavement crumbles away to reveal a portal below, Adrian C. Koutz shows how to make use of projection mapping in After Effects to project a texture from the live action footage.

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to project a texture from your live action footage on to geometry created with After Effects’ built in Shatter plug-in
