Preview of Cycles Rendered Smoke and Fire in Blender

BlenderDiplom’s Jonathan Lampel has a sneak look at a new feature in Blender 2.71 – the ability to render smoke and fire volumetrics in Blender’s Cycles render engine.

This is not a feature that is in the official release of Blender, but it is available in the 2.71 test build – which you can find here – http://builder.blender.org/download/

Jonathan notes that once the official release is out, there will most likely be a tutorial on BlenderDiplom showing how to render smoke and fire in Blender Cycles.
