Understanding and Using the Step Effector in C4D

By April 2, 2014No Comments

You most likely have seen the step effector in Action. Quite popular over the last few years, the step effector is responsible for objects that fold/unfold or build up in an animation. Animator Tyler Jordan offers a foundation look at creating an animation that “builds upwards” in Cinema 4D but using C4D’s Step Effector.

[blockquote source=”Tyler Jordan – TJordanArt.com”]Here is a tutorial on how you can build any kind of object in Cinema 4D using the step effector[/blockquote]

Tyler provides a simple way to get started using the MoGraph module in Cinema 4D and in particular the step Effector for creating this animated effect. Equiloud also had a great look at creating the folding and unfolding effect in Cinema 4D using the MoGraph Step Effector with the post Creating Animated Objects Using an Unfolding Effect in Cinema 4D.
