Ever wanted to have an object trigger mograph animation? Then you should definitely check out the C4D simpleResponder Effector.
A while back C4D user and instructor Douwe started a series which was set to explore the possibilities for creating custom Effectors for C4d. The first installment in that series looked at a Shuffle Array Effector.
C4D simpleResponder Effector
With a recent post, Douwe offers a look at response systems with the C4D simpleResponder Effector – allowing you to have mograph animation in the scene react or respond to something.
making the properties of MoGraph clones respond to something that’s going on in the Scene
This is a great way to trigger mograph properties with things that are happening in the scene.
C4D simpleResponder Effector uses “Distance2Color”, “Distance2Weight” and a Difference Vector to figure out the distances needed, processing MoData Arrays using a loop.
Remember that Douwe suggests that the purpose of these basic Effectors is to inspire you to script your own and encourages you to use them as a starting point for your more advanced explorations.
Cinema4d Advanced Production Techniques
Also of note, recently, Douwe was part the Cinema4d Advanced Production Techniques product being offered through vimeo on demand. Cinema 4D Production techniques is designed to take your C4D skills to the next level. The series is hosted by a veritable who’s who in the C4D community, – Simon Holmedal, Paul Everett, Raphael Rau, Simon Fiedler, Derya and Douwe.
This 13 episode series recorded live in Copenhagen at a 2 day seminar hosted by Pingo van der Brinkloev. Over 8 hours of screen captured material has been edited into this intensive package with in depth talks about Mograph, Xpresso, workflow, modeling, photo realistic rendering with Vray®, NPR rendering, Python, particles, plugins and dirty tricks. Though the techniques are advanced, you will be able to tag along and replicate the various workflows
