Walking Through XGen improvements in Maya 2015 Extension 1

Daryl Obert walks through some of the great new XGen improvements in the Maya 2015 Extension 1 release. XGen has been updated allowing you to work with Xgen Delta’s which can offer a nondestructive workflow for things like styling hair and fur for specifically shots – giving you a great way to go back to saved delta states.

The XGen improvements have also seen some work done in the texturing department, where Maya 2015 Extension 1 adds new shading additions with XGen specific texture lookup nodes. No longer do you need to create custom expressions and shading attributes for tasks like setting root/tip color, it can all be done now by adding a one of the new special nodes.
