Use The MASH Math Node to Write Simple Python Expressions

Mainframe North’s Ian Waters runs through some of the newest changes to the Math node in Maya MASH. The Math node in previous version of MASH might have left it as less useful than other nodes in MASH. This changes with the new version.

How to use the Maths node to write simple python expressions

Version 3.2 offers the ability to use if/then/else statements which opens up for some new abilities and uses in MASH networks.

Ian shows how you can use the upgraded math node to write simple python expressions to control your networks.  You can also use it for clamping values, swapping channels and specialist maths functions.

Also of note in the MASH for Maya world is that MASH is now available on Linux for Maya 2014 and 2015 as beta. Check here for a list of all the new additions and fixes for MASH for Maya 3.2.
