Use Mocha to Assist With After Effects Face Tracker

By July 3, 2015No Comments

With the latest version of After Effects CC 2015, comes new face tracking technology that was borrowed from the Adobe Character Animator. Ae’s face tracker can recognize faces in a shot and track them continually in a scene.

This will make it much easier to create VFX shots centered around touchups, beauty work or even add ons, to faces in post production. With all types of tracking, you might run into some issue, depending on the shot.

Here, in this overview, Product Manager Martin Brennand walks us through how the bundled mocha AE can compliment the Adobe After Effects CC 2015 Face Tracker. Martin has a look at face masking, occlusions, face tracking, and creating inserts, adding some digital makeup to a few practical shots.
