Faking a 360 Degree Camera in Cinema 4D

Most third party renderers will allow you to render out VR type of environments using sophisticated lens shaders, or plugins that will essentially give you a 360 degree camera.

But what if all that you have is Cinema 4D? You can still create a mono spherical 360 degree camera in C4D that will let you render out equirectangular sequences.

This can easily be done by using the Bake Environment Preset that comes with Cinema 4D. There are a few caveats though. However, you can easily generate content that can be played back on Google Cardboard or the Oculus Rift.
