The CG Geek Steve Lund has a fun look at fracturing and exploding a logo mark or type in Blender. Blender has proven time and time again to be a production driven tool that can be a very capable 3d application.

Blender has internal tools for creating rigid body physics and dynamics, as well as visual effects tools for things like fire and smoke. Here, Steve puts both of those together to create an animation where a logo or simple type gets fractured blown apart, violently.
