“Stacking” Arnold Materials in Cinema 4D

You probably have staked materials before in C4D. Using a third party renderer like Arnold, however, might pose a different process.

CyBear is admittedly a beginner when it comes to working with Arnold in Cinema 4D. As an avid learner and instructor, CyBear will be posting some hints as he makes his way through learning the Arnold renderer within Cinema 4D.

how you can mimic the same effect by stacking shaders and images in layers inside one Arnold Material.

One of the things he has come across, is getting used to how shaders can be stacked. When you need to stack materials one on top of the other, such as placing a label on a glass bottle, the old-fashioned Cinema 4D way, will not work when using Arnold.

Here CyBear shows how you can mimic the staking materials effect by stacking shaders and images in layers, that all sit inside a single Arnold material.
