An Easy Method For Animating Slices in C4D

By April 11, 2016No Comments

MirrorMaze’s Stephen Turcotte shows a simple method for animating slices in Cinema 4D, using a piece of fruit as an example. There are a few ways that you can approach creating a sling animation, especially in C4D; Typically, the best is the simplest.

Stephen walks through creating an orange for the example, then uses a Boole object to create the slices. The slices are then put into a Cloner object, and can be controlled with a plane effector. A Delay deformer is used to create some nice secondary motion for the animation.

Stephen notes that the example uses a simple piece of fruit, but really the process can be applied to any object at all, and still work. It is a super quick and easy way to create interesting visuals through a slicing animation.
