A Comprehensive Walkthrough of Moho’s Binding Methods

Moho is definitely more focused on providing tools for 2D character animation for animators.Part of that pipeline, is rigging characters for animation. A powerful combination of bones, inverse kinematics, and constraints offers artists a great toolbox for both rigid and animation in Moho.

But how does Moho attach geometry to specific bones? There are a number of methods that allow you to do this. Artists can pick and choose from a few. Some are better suited for specific tasks, while others will cater more to the type of artwork that you are rigging.

The newest method is Flexi, but terse are also Point, Layer Binding and a method that can combine any of these. Which method is best? Why would you use one over the other? Answering those questions is McCoy Buck, in his new Complete Rigging Course: Moho & Anime Studio. The course was developed so that anyone can learn to master 2d rigging and proper rigging techniques in Moho Pro, or Moho Debut.

McCoy covers the flexi method, as well a point, layer and a combination of those within a single character rig.
