Working with the New Curve Node in Substance Designer

By February 20, 2017No Comments

Substance Designer 6 brought a host of new features and workflows, including the ability to create accurate scanned materials from a series of photographs. The Scan Processing Nodes offer an end to end capture solution. There are some other great features to dive into as well. The Curve Node in Designer 6 is another amazing addition.

The curve node lets you define a multi-function curve that can be used in a variety of ways. The Curve Node can be used for image processing, adjusting tonal values or creating profile shapes for hight maps.

Offering a walk though for using the new curve system in SD6, is Allegorithmic’s Wes McDermott who offers some technical details as well as some practical examples.
