Joe Clay Shows How to Use a Single Composition of Elements and Master Properties to Generate More Complex Imagery.

Master Properties is probably one of the best of the workflow-driven features added to Ae in the last few years. It allows you to bring attributes forward without having to navigate to them through nested compositions. Master Properties make use of the Essential Graphics Panel to make things like editable lower thirds and other reusable items. Workbench’s Joe Clay has other machinations for how to implement Master Properties.

Clay shows how you can use one composition of elements to generate a highly detailed image and animation, making the whole thing easy to change. “This tutorial only scratches the surface of what is possible with this new After Effects feature.” Clay adds.
