The clearcoat uses an ISO mask that drives the clear coat within the Renderman shader. It consists of a combination of masks with some procedurally created micro-scratches. Aversten has covered how he uses ISO masks before. One tutorial showed how you could work with the Mari Node Graph to create ISO maps, a technique that is great for texturing and look development.
