Compositor Josh Parks Talks About Life as a VFX Artist

ILM Compositor Talks to Students About Working as a VFX Artist.

Josh Parks is a London based senior compositor and VFX Artist for ILM, who specializes in Nuke, roto prep, and Python scripting. He has also made the rounds lecturing at various universities around the world, talking about the VFX industry in general.

Not too long ago, Parks gave a talk to the students at the Norwich University of The Arts covering a range of topics and what it’s like to have a life as a VFX artist. “I cover what I’ve done so far in my career as a compositor,” Josh says. He also talks about what students can do to increase the odds of getting into the industry and how to build luck for yourself. The talk then ends with an interesting Q & A.
