Many animators and motion designers owe a debt of gratitude to the Rainbox team and Nicolas Dufresne. DUIK is a fantastic tool for rigging characters and animation process in Adobe After Effects. Without it, the Ae team would have left us all high and dry, I’m sure.

Every so often, Rainbox launches a crowdfunding campaign to create the next generation of tools for animators. Their new campaign is looking to get the next version for DUIK out there, and that’s not all. They are also planning DUIK for Blender, a project and asset management system, and a new media encoder, all on the way from Rainbox. As always, the tools are free and open source.

Just watch how fast DuME, the Duduf Media Encoder, is 🙂
