Working With Arnold’s Clip Geo and Toon Shaders

Lee Griggs shows how to make an abstract line-drawing using clip geo and toon shaders.

I’ve seen some stuff that uses Arnold’s clip geo shader that lets you easily create render-time booleans and cutaways. I’ve also seen Arnold toon shading stuff. It’s rare to see the two of those working together.

This new walkthrough by Arnold Rendering Specialist Lee Griggs shows how to make an illustrative line-drawing portrait using the clip_geo shader to clip a head model using Arnold stand-ins and Mash. Incredible!
