How to Use Unstretch to Better Corner Pin Vector Layers in Ae

Jake In Motion shows how to use the Unstretch checkbox to get better corner pins in After Effects.

Check out this new video from Jake Bartlett that covers how to use a little-known checkbox that belongs to the corner pin effect in After Effects.

“While creating the CC Power Pin video for the Effects of After Effects series, I learned about an unusual checkbox called Unstretch.” It turns out “Unstretch” has a practical use that can allow you to treat a text layer or a vector layer as if it were a regular footage layer.

That means you can apply effects and distort vector layers the way you would with a photo or video, without precomposing the layer first.
