An Inside Look at Unreal Project Avalanche for Realtime Motion Graphics Work

Winbush shows off Unreal Project Avalanche, an upcoming iteration of Unreal Engine for Motion Graphics artists.

More things are becoming realtime, and setting the pace are the game engines that focus on realtime display and effects. Epic’s Project Avalanche puts a fresh coat of paint onto Unreal Egnine’s UI to create an environment where artists can use Unreal for realtime motion graphics.

Here, Jonathan Winbush shows where Project Avalanche is, some of the current features, and what is coming down the road. “These tools are designed to make motion graphics creation easier and faster, especially for After Effects users,” Winbush says.

Jonathan shows how to import and edit vector graphics, create and animate text, apply effects and transitions, and render your motion graphics in Unreal Engine 5.

“Project Avalanche is a game changer for motion graphic artists who want to take advantage of the power and flexibility of Unreal Engine 5.”
