Jimmy Gunawan experiments with some procedural modeling techniques in Blender, taking a look at what procedural modeling entails as a definition, and then takes a look at some techniques for various ways they can be implemented in Blender.

I will take you through few example cases and we will be looking at some potential techniques that you can later improve on your own

Jimmy takes a look at creating a generator that will build pebbles and rocks, a starfish generator, and also takes a look at combining procedural techniques with the Mesh Cache Modifier, Blender’s Shape Keys, and Lattice and Soft-bodies as well.

Check out the article for Procedural Random Generative Modeling Techniques for pebbles and starfishes in blender here.
