Constraining Objects to Another Object’s Surface in Cinema 4D

By September 10, 2013March 31st, 2015No Comments

Ben Watts shares two techniques for constraining an objects movement across the surface of another, using some simple techniques with a spline wrap and surface modifier, along with some tips for tweaking the effect.

In this tutorial, we’ll take a look at two different techniques for moving geometry across the surface of a target object in Cinema 4D

The benefit of the first technique, is that the surface can change, and that change will propagate through to the animation, having it all still work. Ben provides a few practical examples for use, and be sure to check out the tutorial for Moving Objects Across a Surface in Cinema 4D here.
