Cinema 4D | Using Vertex Maps to Control Turbulence FD

Project 4D’s Ali offers a tutorial looking at using the Vertex Map on a model in Cinema 4D to control and emit fire for the Turbulence FD plugin. To do this, Art On Bit’s PLA Velocity velocity plugin which will calculate a points current velocity and write it out to a vertex map.

Ali uses the PLA Velocity plugin to create the vertex maps based on the character’s velocity, where the hands of the character will emit fire in Turbulence FD and the other parts of the model will not. AoB’s PLA Velocity plugin for Cinema 4D is only for windows systems and can be purchased for roughly $20.
