Josh Robinson takes us through an hour plus tour of Maya tips and tricks with some great advice in a wide range of topics. Covered in the video are:

1. How to UV tubes/pipes that have bends in them so that you end up with a rectangular unfold.
2. Basic curve knowledge
3. The Josh “ladder trick”. This basically gives you similar function to the array feature in Max.
4. How to find an objects rotation information after its been frozen.
5. A few align features and how to use them in conjunction with the display pivot feature. Great for aligning asymmetrical assets.
6. Blocking out large scale exterior sets using simple curves.
7. How to quickly and accurately create accurate pipe systems or even modular hallway designs.

9. How to make accurate trims in Maya with out using the unreliable and inaccurate extrude edge feature.
