Creating Dynamic Subdivision in Cinema 4D

By November 18, 2016No Comments

Adam Hislop’s dynamic subdivisions have inspired similar setups. Entagma’s Moritz Schwind recreated a similar setup in Side FX Houdini. Now, Inlifethrill Design’s Dobromir Dyankov posts a look into creating a dynamic subdivision setup in Cinema 4D.

Heslop’s dynamic subdivisions test used a rig in OpenFrameWorks, which did all of the mesh calculations and the drawing. He added to that a Cinema 4D shader and body paint workflow for designing the actual content.

There is no commentary on this tutorial, but you can easily follow along with what Dobromir  is doing. The process isn’t that involved, but it offers some amazing results. Dynamic Subdivision patterns can create some beautiful images.
