How to Best Share Bifrost Compounds With Maya

By August 30, 2019No Comments

Steven Roselle covers how to save and share compounds from Maya Bifrost.

In another installment that covers the basics for working with Maya Bifrost, Autodesk’s Steven Roselle shows how to save and share a compound for later use. Maya’s Bifrost allows you to create custom node networks and package them into compounds, a term that you may remember from the old Softimage ICE days.

Roselle shows how to create a compound and how to best manage and rename inputs and outputs for the custom node. Roselle also explains how to export the compound so you can share it with other scene files. Understanding how custom nodes get shared using a JSON file will better help your workflows.
