By July 12, 2021No Comments

Julian Field shows how to work with type and create a news ticker effector with User Data in C4D.

In the last little while, Julian Field (the Xpresso Mechanic) mixes Python, Zpresso, and other bits within Maxon Cinema 4D to make and automate animation tasks. His latest video covers making a news ticker effector using Python, a bit of Xpresso, and user data in C4D.

“In this Cinema 4D Python tutorial, we look at creating a News Ticker Effector.”

To do so, Julian uses a double-ended queue (deque), a special kind of list, which offers some compelling functionality. “We also make pretty extensive use of user data and a minimal amount of Xpresso.”
