By March 19, 2011No Comments

Thinkbox Software (formerly a dev group within Frantic Films) recently have released the highly anticipated FROST compound geometry plugin for 3DS Max that can generate a single mesh from anything really… including particles, vert clouds, object positions, point data files or any mix of that list.

FROST is a compound geometry object for 3ds Max that can be used to generate a single mesh from particles, vertex clouds, object positions, point data files or a combination thereof using various iso-surface or geometry cloning techniques.

Version 1.0 supports the 32 and 64 bit builds of 3ds Max 9, 3ds Max 2008, 3ds Max 2009, 3ds Max 2010 and 3ds Max 2011. 3ds Max 2012 will be supported by a point update in April. FROST is $495 for a workstation license / unlimited rendering nodes.
