Some After Effects basics and tips when trying to move a camera in 3D space in After Effects comes to us by way of Laurie Knapp where she also adds some expressions to help the task along.

Laurie Knapp notes:”Issues that may occur when trying to use orbit tool, null objects and “orientation” to animate a camera to fly around an object in z-space. How using “top view” to animate camera and writing a very simple expression can help make this task a lot more predictable. These are basics!”
