Lesterbanks.com welcomes Daniel Brodesky hosting a look at how to create animated hand written type using Trapcode Particular in After Effects.

Learn how to use Trapcode Particular in After Effects to animate hand written type

Inspired by the work and After Effects preset set out by freelance motion designer Sara Bennett (@Shabello23), Daniel breaks down how to create this effect on your own in After Effects, showing some of the simple underlying techniques and settings that come together to create the final result.

There is a host of  resources out there on creating animated handwritten type that certain “write-on” effect with type, lines and graphics in After Effects, and undoubtedly this is similar. This does expand a bit on the whole premise, where you are able to add two unique properties to the written-on animation look – A more organic and natural aesthetic, and adding a sense of 3D space to the effect by creating overlap.
