Vertex Weight Helper for Cinema 4D Updates With Auto-Apply Weights Feature

The Vertex Weight Helper Plugin for Cinema 4d was created by the C4DZone’s Matteo Porchedda for the intent to assist C4D artists in the mesh weighting process.  Vertex Weight Helper allowed you to quickly weight all vertices between two or more joints easily, making it quicker to get to a viable character for animation purposes.

Recently The Vertex Weight Helper tool has updated to version 2.0 adding some new great features. New to version 2 is the auto apply feature, which will allow you to test the weights for the joints in real time. You can easily see of your weights are working and what needs to be changed with this instant feedback.

There have also been some workflow improvements to Vertex Weight Helper, including a method for normalizing the joint fields.

These changes are in addition to the features that Vertex weight Helper had in its initial release allowing you to

  • Weight up to 4 joints at the same time for a point selection
  • Selection of under weighted vertices
  • Selection of over weighted vertices
  • Weight Reset of a point selection
  • Simple and advanced query of the vertex map, choosing the joint the plugin will select all vertices associated
  • You can also specify the weight range for the query
