3D and After Effects Interoperability Like You Have Never Seen it Before

Integrating 3D into After Effects is something that we all have been accustom to, since it has been a long and winding road. From the now defunct 3D RayTrace in Ae, to much more powerful and effective third party plugins for After Effects, down to the new CineWare link between C4D lite and Ae… there have been a lot of solutions and folse-starts.

Nexus Voltron is a plugin for 3ds Max and After Effects that will allow you to interop between the two applications

Artur Leao, Daniel Santana and Jonathan de Blok have been developing the nexus framework that has proven fruitful in developing two distinct products. One is the Nexus Distributed Rendering plugin which will give you fast iterations on renders without the hassle of network rendering while using your render farm in an interactive workflow.

The other thing to drop out of the Nexus Framework is something they have affectionally codenamed “Nexus Voltron” – a plugin that gives you unprecedented interoperability between 3ds Max and After Effects.

Nexus Voltron is a plugin for 3ds Max and After Effects that allows the two applications to work together, almost in unison and with what looks like amazing speed. Currently Nexus Voltron is in an Alpha phase, but if the teasers are any indication of what is in store for this tool, many will be very excited indeed.
