With a new version 2.0 the BG render script adds a whole mess of new features and is now offered in two flavors, the basic version and the pro version which will include a bevy of other options such as post render actions (growl notifications, send email with log, SMS, or iPhone push notifications), the option to send earlier Adobe CS versions to render with the CS5 render engine for 64 bit advantages, and also the portable app.folder feature which aids in the creation of ad-hoc render farms for your After Effects Renders. These are just a few of the newest features that have been added to BG Render 2.0, and according to the author the development has been a huge undertaking and the decision to put a hard price tag on the new product was a conflicted one, however BG Render 2.0 does have a firm price tag albeit well worth the cost.
BG Render for a limited time is offered at an introductory price of $4.99 for the basic version and $19.99 for the pro version.
