getting started in image metrics faceware for maya

By February 21, 2011One Comment

Image Metrics, creators of the facial animation and rigging technology FaceWare which was recently distributed as a beta to a small number of effects studios has posted a few videos demonstrating the use of FaceWare in Autodesk Maya, beginning with a “getting started with FaceWare” tutorial, to setting up a character, and using FaceWare’s Pruning Tools. Interesting to see the workflow for this long awaited, much hyped tool. At this time of writing, Image-metrics.com is down relaunching with a new site, perhaps this indicates a release soon.

“Image Metrics produces facial animation in three easy steps: Performance Capture, Performance Analysis and Performance Transfer. The new service enables you to manage that final step of the process in-house, increasing your creative control while benefiting from the efficiency and cost-savings that Image Metrics’ facial animation technology offers.”
