Dennis Jensen from Poly-Face returns with another tutorial for Maya this time looking at creating a flexible Ribbon by rigging it with a simple combination of joints and a Maya Hair System to create a flexible cartoon rig. Check out the Creating a Flexible Ribbon in Maya Tutorial here.

Dennis Jensen notes: “Making a cartoony rig can be diffucult. In this video we will look into how to make a ribbon rig. It is a very flexible rig, used for spines, arms and other stuff. It is also called a rubber hose rig. We make it with joints, and are actually using hair in the rig aswell. It might sound weird but trust me, it is going to be great.”
