Mark from Footprint Productions shows how to create a Dynamic Paper Simulation in Cinema 4D with the least amount of resource overhead. The tutorial for creating a paper simulation will cover the Cinema 4D Cloth Engine, how to simulate and cache simulations in Cinema 4D, using the Mograph Cloner, and the concepts of dynamic simulation.

Footprint Productions writes: In this tutorial you will learn how to create a simulation of drifting paper, all within Cinema 4D and with very little overhead on your computer or scene! Here are a few of the things you can expect to learn:

  • Cloth Engine
  • Simulation Caching
  • MoGraph Cloner
  • Dynamic simulation

Something I forgot to mention in the video…once you get your simulation dialed in, you can cache the final paper simulation to allow you to scrub through your timeline and free up your processor to handle the rest of your scene.

I hope you guys like the technique and take away some tips from this session!
