I got a cryptic email the other day from the folks at Mettle with a sneak look at what appears to be a new plugin for After Effects and I must say, it looks exciting! Mettle are the creators of FreeFrom, FreeForm Pro, and ShapeShifter AE for After Effects which are all based on 3DNAE which is Mettle’s proprietary, hardware acclelerated, 3D engine.
If I were to take a guess at to what the new plugin might be, from the image it appears to be some sort of implicit surface meshing of particle cloud…right in After Effects?! …would be sweet, but I suppose we shall find out soon enough!
