Create A Teleportation Effect in After Effects using Fractal Noise

By May 24, 2012No Comments

Maxwell Swet takes a look at using some simple tools in After Effects to create a rather effective teleportation effect with the help of some tracking, glow effects, and the standard fractal noise plugin in After Effects.

Check out the tutorial for Creating A Teleportation Effect in After Effects using Fractal Noise here.

This is a tutorial on how to create a teleport effect similar to the Fallen’s teleport effect in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We start with tracking the footage, adding glow to the actor, and using fractal noise to create a ‘lattice lightning’ effect. I used this shot in my short film, ‘Agents Of Evil: Supercharged‘.
