He then takes a look at using Brute Force and how to use it with unified sampling. finally in the third video, Joseph looks at how to use the unified sampling diagnostics in Mental Ray to help improve render times.

    Thanks for the tutorial. For the last video on diagnostics, how come i only get a diagnostic.exr file whenever i render out of unified sampling but never with adaptive sampling in my scene?
    Also would you know any other programs or plugins for photoshop that let you view diagnostic.exr files in photoshop?
