Delete Transform Nodes from the Distance Tool in Maya for Cleaner Node Graphs

By July 26, 2012No Comments

Sophia Zauner provides a quick tip showing how you are able to delete the transform nodes from the two locator shape nodes that are inherent when using the distance tool, and the distance tool’s measurement will still be correct. This is a great tip for streamlining and cleaning up nodes in graphs when rigging.

The Distance Measure Tool gets its input values from 2 Locators. More precise from 2 Locator Shape Nodes. So, if you want, you can get rid of the Locator´s Transform and the measure will still be correct.
