Creating a Dynamic Skateboard Animation in Cinema 4D

By August 27, 2012No Comments

A slightly inebriated Rory Martin from RateMyFuneral, shows how to create a dynamically driven skateboard using Motors in Cinema 4D. This comes after Rory was creating a similar set up for a project, and ran into some issues in getting the skateboard working correctly, and here provides some solutions for the set up.

In this tutorial I go over modeling a very simple skateboard, using a couple of connectors and motors I make it work all on its own

Cinema 4D r12 seen the addition of the Motor Object which gives a continuous force on any object it is applied to, much like a motor would in real life, and in this tutorial you can see how to apply the motor object to the skateboard and creating a simulation where the skateboard is dynamic and can move on its own. Check out the tutorial for Creating a Dynamic Skateboard in Cinema 4D Using Dynamics and Motors here.
