The Concept Painter’s Channel on Youtube has a new post showing his process for creating a realistic and detailed eye with Maya and Mudbox.
Starting from a simple Sphere Primitive and a bit of vertex sculpting in Maya to create the basic shape of the eye, The Concept Painter blocks in the form before bringing the model into Mudbox for sculpting and materials. It is interesting to see how something which appears as seemingly simple as an eye, actually has a more broad amount of detail than one would expect.
