If you have been doing 3D for a while, and you have not looked at nDo2 at all, it might be time to do so. Quixel’s nDo2 is a game changer in terms of the normal mapping workflow by providing an integrated way to create normal maps right inside of Adobe Photoshop.

Learn how easy it is to create complex hard-surface tiles with nDo2 in this first installment of the nDo2 workflow series

Quixel has launched a new tutorial series looking at how you can streamline your workflow by using nDo2 for creating normal maps in Photoshop.

The first installment of the series looks at creating hard surface details in Photoshop by blocking out shapes and creating some sculpting details as well. I think you will find that nDo2 is pretty slick.

Quixel’s nDo2 is available for $299.00 as a commercial license, and also has a freelance license available for a modest $99.00

Is nDo2 only for the gaming world?
I use Maya for 3D work, so I’m wondering if it’s also a good program to use for making maps like bump, spec, reflect, etc. I’ve never used a normal map before so I’m not sure if that could be of use to me… ?
    Thanks 🙂
