Create a Sprite Sheet from an After Effects Animation With Expressions

Frederik Steinmetz walks us through his technique for creating a contact sheet filled with still frames effectively showing an antire animation in one look by having them display all in one composition.

I thought, “What if you made an animation and wanted to show it to someone who wouldn’t take the time to look at an entire video… but would be willing to have a glance at one single picture which contains poses?”

Frederik notes that this might be a useful endeavor if you need to tile an animation for use in game development, or just to have a one-sheet that quickly shows the basic animation at a glance. Either way, this is a great way to generate a sprite sheet that can be used in a game engine. Check out the tutorial for Generation A Comp Of Thumbnail Stills From Your After Effects Animation here.
